Traveling Hips Belly Dance Rites of Passage
The Traveling Hips BellyDance Rites of Passage Program exists to unite women in a sisterhood, reestablish a system of rites of passage for women, provide tools and techniques for women to self determine, be empowered with confidence to navigate today’s world successfully, and to give women the opportunity to experience freedom and joy through movement, song and the teaching of woman’s wisdom passed down through many generations. Participants who complete this course will receive a Certificate granting them the ability and authority to teach our Program to other women.
Music for Human Development
Explore the power of sound and the many ways it effects human energy with FEW Foundation’s Music for Human Development Program. This program introduces participants to a wide variety of organic musical sounds and studies how these sounds serve to heal, empower, uplift and transform the human being. Participants make music in a variety of ways, write music, discuss the effects music has on our physical, mental, emotional and inner selves, study the ways music effects our relationships with our environment and with each other, and create music of different kinds and for varying reasons. The workshop series concludes with a performance that allows students to express what they have learned and how what they learned impacted them.
Wholistic health 001
Be in charge of your health with FEW Foundation’s Wholistic Health 001 program. Discover wholeness and happiness. Dive into this program that, offeres unique insights into health and wellness practices. This course provides lost wisdom of herbal medicine and remedies, comprehensive guidance on nutrition, physical wellness, and mental health and best practices to maintain balance and wellness for life. Diagnostic methods to examine and assess our mental, physical, emotional and environmental health are intrroduced, as we guide participants through the process of creating a viable Health Plan and support them through the process of implementing their plan for success. All participants in this program must be 18 years or older. The course consists of five 3 hour in person workshops. All supplies are included.
Reading is FUNdamental Literacy Program
Cultivate a love for reading and a daily reading practice. Reading is FUNdamental is a literacy program, offered by FEW Foundation, that not only teaches people of all ages how to read and/or improve their reading, but also encourages a real love for reading in every in every genre for every participant. Through the use of book clubs, peer tutoring, drama and other art disciplines, we are able to begin shaping a person’s love for reading and practice of reading daily. Personal tutoring is also offered, if needed and by request.
Top 10 Ways to Green Our World
This program guides participants through a step by step introduction to the art of living GREEN! We help participants develop a clear definition for the phrase “green lifestyle” and we explain why being green is important to us today and for our future. We establish an individual and cmmunity practices that can be implemented and maintained in our everyday lives to combat living out of balance with nature and life, and builds a sustainable set of practices promote excellent living.
Kwanzaa 365
In this FEW Foundation program students learn to cultivate the principles of Kwanzaa as a guide to greater humanity and better living. Kwanzaa is not a holiday, it’’s a way of living 365 days of the year. Using the seven principles of Kwanzaa for an entire year allows us to shape our character while building our community. This program guides participants through an exploration of the principles and practices of Kwanzaa and teaches how to incorporate them into our everyday living. If you are interested in understanding how to benefit from this illustrious set of principles and practices based on African cultural wisdom, this program will teach you just how it’s done.
